Organization

Difesa Servizi S.p.A. is the in-house company of the Ministry of Defense that manages and enhances the assets of the Ministry. It operates in the market providing services to a heterogeneous range of stakeholders both nationally and internationally. The company was founded in 2011, and for ten years, responding to a need for innovation, it has been promoting the uniqueness of the Italian Armed Forces, spanning a multiplicity of sectors through careful economic management of the assets and services that the Defense entrusts to it. Professionalism, dedication and innovation make the Company a strategic, robust and reliable asset serving all Defense articulations. With passion, expertise and transparency, we develop connections and opportunities never thought of before, converging the many areas of intervention in a single direction: generating value.

The ItalianAir Force operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for the security and defense of the country and its citizens, ensuring the control and surveillance of the national and Euro-Atlantic and Euro-Mediterranean Airspace; it also protects vital national interests abroad as part of numerous International Operations and Missions. The international community recognizes the Italian Air Force, and therefore the country, as having capabilities of excellence that enable it to be a leader in areas such as the fighter component, flight training, airlift, including bio-containment medical, the use of remotely piloted aircraft, Aerospace, Space, advanced logistics management, and meteorology.

The Piacenza Airport Detachment, established on Sept. 1, 2017 on the San Damiano site, is subordinate to the 6th Ghedi Wing, which in turn is dependent on the Milan Combat Forces Command within the Air Squadron Command.
Today, the Piacenza Airport Detachment has two main institutional tasks: to constitute a base for the re-deployment of operational components, during exercises and possibly before their actual re-deployment, and to contribute to the preservation and enhancement of the Italian Air Force's historical aeronautical and aerospace heritage.
Over the past few years, activities have been developed to enhance the value of the Airport Detachment. There have been many initiatives and agreements with firms engaged in aeronautical development and the automotive sector, which, through public tenders, have obtained the use of the surfaces and airspace of the Airport only when not engaged in the peculiar operational and training activities of the Detachment, for research, development and testing activities.

Aero Club Pavullo S.s.d. a.r.l. operates on the State Civil Airport "G. Paolucci" under ENAC concession, guaranteeing its operation 365 days a year. It manages by delegation its flight line, radio services, airport taxes, facilities, safety, security, firefighting, using the airport for general, sport and business aviation traffic. The intervention and long-term planning skills of the Pavullo Aero Club have allowed the "Paolucci" to evolve over the years in terms of traffic, operations and prestige. This continuous progress is due above all to the organizational stability of a Club born in 1965, which since 1987 (the year current President Roberto Gianaroli joined) can boast a practically unchanged board of directors, capable of carrying out initiatives that are fundamental to the survival and development of the Airport.
