Traffic circulation may be subject to some improvement changes, please review this page of the website again a few days before the event.
Consult and follow the following maps and not the directions from Google Maps or other navigators to get to the event: on event days the road circulation will be different from the ordinary.

Pets

To ensure the safety of all event participants and to prevent any risk to pets, four-legged companions are not permitted inside the airport or in the event areas (with the exception of guide dogs for the visually impaired), where moving vehicles will be present.

The Smoking Ban in the Airport Area

For safety reasons, smoking is prohibited within the event venue. Those who wish to smoke may do so only in the designated smoking areas, which are clearly marked.

By car

How to get to the event from:

You must book personal access from the Accreditation. Car parking spaces are paid for at a cost of € 10. Parking spaces will be managed by trained staff who will direct motorists to available spaces and take care of the collection.

Car accreditation gives priority, but does not guarantee a space. Parking is plentiful, but spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, we recommend arriving early in the morning.

There will be an internal shuttle connecting the San Damiano, Nure and Margherite entrances with the event area.

From A1 highway, exit Fiorenzuola d'Arda:

Take the SP 462 towards Fiorenzuola, continue to the Carpaneto exit, then head towards Carpaneto on the SP 38, proceeding straight through San Protaso to Ciriano; at the junction turn right onto the SP 6 towards Carpaneto along Via Rossi through the village; at the second set of traffic lights turn left into Via Pallastrelli and continue to S. Cimafava until you reach the junction with the SP 10 for Gropparello; turn left and immediately right towards Viustino; continue along the S.C. Viustino to the junction with the SP 36; turn right and at the Centovera junction turn left; upon entering Centovera, at the church turn left towards San Damiano to reach car parks P1–P6.

From Liguria, Piedmont and Lombardy – exit A21 Piacenza Ovest

You drive along Via I Maggio to the intersection with V. Emilia Pavese, turn right on the latter road until the traffic circle leading to the Piacenza ring road; take the second exit towards Parma and at the third traffic circle with the SS 45 continue towards Parma, take the right exit towards Valnure (Ponte dell’Olio-Bettola), continue on the SS 654 passing through the following villages: Gariga, Podenzano, Maiano, Grazzano Visconti, Cabina, Vigolzone, Villo’, Albarola, Ponte Dell’Olio; after the bridge over the Nure stream, turn left toward Folignano-Godi, continue on the SP 36 passing the villages of Folignano, Rizzolo and when you reach San Damiano, turn left toward San Damiano and follow the indications for the P2-P3-P4-P5 parking lots.

From Lodi via the SS 9 Via Emilia / from Cremona via the SS 10 Via Caorsana / from Piacenza town centre

Drive along the Farnesiana road toward SP 6 Mucinasso, toward the San Giorgio bypass, at the Case Nuove junction turn right onto SP 36 toward Godi; at the intersection with S.C. Centovera turn right toward Centovera and at the church turn left to the P1-P6 parking lots.

By bicycle

Visitors arriving by bicycle may use the provincial road from San Giorgio Piacentino to Centovera, reserved exclusively for cyclists, and enter the airport via the Centovera entrance (bicycles only; not accessible to cars, motorcycles or pedestrians). The route from San Giorgio Piacentino to the event area is 7.5 km in total, 4 km of which are within the airport grounds. Bicycle parking is available near the main entrance and is free of charge; no reservation is required. A signed Aeronautica Militare Balloon Cup gift will be given to those who arrive by bicycle!

By bike

Motorcycle parking is outside the airport, but near the entrance Main. It is free and it is not necessary to reserve it.

Walking

For those arriving on foot, all entrances are accessible, with the exception of the Centovera entrance.

Parking available

Handicapped parking

Disabled parking spaces are free and registration is required from the page Accreditation. They are inside the airport, near the event area. You arrive by the ordinary route, the entrance to the airport is the Main.

Bus Parking

Bus and coach parking lots are inside the airport and registration is required from the page Accreditation. You arrive by the ordinary route, the entrance is the Main.

Camper and Minibuses Parking

Vehicles in this category will be able to use the car parking lot, thus the Accreditation for cars is required. Parking cost for RVs and buses € 20, no overnight parking allowed. There are equipped and suitable areas for camper parking in neighboring cities.

Prohibited items inside the airport

Weapons and Offensive Items

Any type of firearm (pistols, firearm components, or any instrument that fires projectiles). Also not permitted are toy weapons of any kind, air guns, flare guns, pellet guns), slingshots and any other object that may be considered a bladed weapon (knives of any kind, including Swiss army knives or multi-purpose knives)
Sharp or pointed objects (scissors, blades, craft knives, large pins, razors, ski poles or trekking poles, etc.)
Blunt objects that can cause injury, such as martial arts equipment, baseball bats, etc.
Work tools (hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.)
Pepper spray or irritant substances.

Dangerous and Flammable Substances

Pyrotechnic items: fireworks, rockets, firecrackers, smoke bombs, gunpowder, dynamite, etc.;
Flammable or combustible liquids (petrol, lighter refills, paint thinners, alcoholic beverages with a volumetric content exceeding 70%).
Pressurised spray canisters (e.g. hairspray, large deodorants, paints), gases and sprays capable of producing disabling or immobilising effects, such as pepper spray, irritant sprays, tear gas, acids and animal repellents.

Containers and Liquids (Restrictions)

Bottles and cans: Entry with glass bottles or metal flasks is prohibited.
Alcohol: Bringing alcoholic beverages onto the premises is strictly prohibited.

Technological and Flying Devices (Mandatory for Air Safety)

Drones (UAVs) and any radio-controlled flying object: ABSOLUTE prohibition. The unauthorised flight of drones near an air show constitutes a serious criminal offence and a danger to pilots.
Laser pointers: Extremely dangerous to the safety of pilots in flight
Unauthorised radio transmitting equipment (which could interfere with the frequencies of the air traffic control tower or aircraft).

Other Prohibited Items

Large umbrellas or those with a pointed tip (small, foldable umbrellas without a metal tip are generally permitted).
Animals: not permitted, with the exception of guide dogs for the visually impaired.
